Miranda | Minnesota High School Senior Photography

Meet Miranda. A Mahtomedia 2010 high school senior.  I had heard many things about this beautiful young girl from a friend of mine that taught her in elementary school, so I was excited to finally meet her in person and honored to capture her high school senior memories. She lived up to everything I had heard. She is beautiful, an amazingly talented dancer, smart, sweet and very well rounded.  The minute I lifted the camera, I knew she was going to have many many images to choose from….and that she does. Beckert Family | Lake Elmo Family Portraits

I had the privilege of photographing Liesel for her senior portraits and what an honor when their family asked me out to do family fall portraits at their beautiful Lake Elmo home. I have to tell you, this is one amazing family. Their energy is addictive. They just have this rapport with each other that makes being around them a TON of fun. The first time I met them at their daughter’s ordering appt, I just loved being around them and this time was no different. Definitely the true definition of family. Thank you so much for allowing me to come out and photograph the rest of the family. I am excited for you to see your full gallery!

Rick Springfield..and a little celebration | Minnesota Event Photographer

Ok, I will admit it on my blog…I am a HUGE Rick Springfield fan!  I mean, who can resist his song Jesse’s Girl?  So when I received a call to photograph him from my favorite (and the best, in my opinion)  dermatology clinic in Minnesota – Skin Care Doctors, a little celebration I was so excited!  It is always great when you can combine so many of your FAVS in one spot..(people, places, and music). Here are some images of the celebration, Rick himself – along with the playlist..and even a few of some people ;) on stage singing with him.  What an amazing time!

Like my own.. | Twin Cities Children’s Photographer

Little Addison is SUCH a joy to photograph. I have been so lucky to be able to capture her a few times over the last couple of times, and each time gets to be more and more fun. It is almost like she is my own. (only because she is almost the same age as my own little Addison, they look very similar, and they are very close in age)  I have said it before, and I will say it more..my clients become like a family…like my own.

Meet the M. family! I had such a wonderful session with this fun family. They won the session from a charity that is very close to my heart the Shawn Silvera Run.

It turns out, we also are in a moms club together and she has become a friend. What a small world! Their little daughter E. is such a doll, and the proud owner of a new bike. Can’t wait to see it E. Thank you so much for the fun session!

Thankful…

I am thankful for so many things. A wonderful family, beautiful healthy children, my health, friends, a roof over my head, a thriving photography business..I could go on and on. I am sure most of you reading this feel the same way. I wanted to take this chance to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. To remind us all to be thankful for the big, and little things in our lives.  Lisa Slotsve Photography will be closed until Monday December 1st to spend time with those I am thankful for. Have a wonderful and save holiday!

I just adore her… | Hudson Wisconsin Childrens Photography

Meet little A. I adore photographing A. and her family. First of all, she is the sweetest little girl (takes after her mom!) second, she is has the best little style (another thing she gets from her mom!) You may recognize her from a couple of other posts on my blog throughout the past year.

This is one of my favorite images from the session, isn’t it so beautiful how you can see little A’s reflection in the window!

This session was especially fun because we included her little puppy. They are such good friends.  Thank you again K. Family for inviting me to capture your special memories and for making the trip into downtown from Hudson Wisconsin!
