One word challenge… (Minneapolis Family Photographer)

So I tend to be wordy.. both online and in real life (those of you that know me well are laughing right now). So, for my upcoming session posts and sneak peeks I am challenging myself to a one word post for all these amazing clients. I am going to start off slow. I am will try it for a week.  So..if you are wondering this week why all the upcoming cuties you see have just one word – it is my challenge (you know who you are that challenged me, and well, you also know I am always up for a little competition). So..here we go.

Sibling Secrets | Minneapolis Children’s Photography

Just a little sneak peek for the B. Family…I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

What amazing kids!  Spring is one of the hardest times to schedule photography photosessions in Minnesota. One days is 50 and sunny and the next day is a blizzard, so we ended up rescheduling this session a couple of times and finally we had a day when it worked. The kids were so wonderful to work with (even though it was very cold out..we actually got a blizzard later this evening.)  I loved everything about them. Especially how cute they played together

Aren’t these pictures below sweet? Everytime I see my son and daughter hug or whisper to each other it makes my heart sing, and the couple of times I catch it on film…well, I am even happier I have that moment.. It’s a moment between them both. As if they are saying…”Tell me your secret and I’ll tell you mine…”

Welcome Home Sweet Baby!

February 25, 2008 – 6:18 pm

 I crashed the homecoming. This little girl hadn’t even been home 24 hours when I headed over to do her first photosession.  I mean, she was NEW! Beautiful little T. is such a perfect baby. At first T. decided she would show us what life was like with a newborn.  No sleep and a few tears, but finally…well, she got tired,  and we made beautiful memories together. There is something about newborn photography that takes my breath away. The smell of them, the way they curl up..(just look at her curl below). 

 

 

 

The little way they try to follow their parents voice, the bird like way their mouth gets when they are hunger, the smell of their skin… Everything is amazing.  This little girl reminded me so much of my son the day we brought him home. In fact, her first name is his middle name!

  

 I feel so honored and blessed to have been able to document the first days of this newborns life. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek B. family!

a baby and a skyway

the conversation goes something like this….

 ”let’s do pictures in the red skyway downtown minneapolis and then go to my trendy hair place and do some there..it has this great floor, and a large barn door..”

the rest I can’t remember because I was thinking….uhmmmm. YES!!  (I mean, who wouldn’t want to do portraits of a 9 month old in downtown Minneapolis skyway system. It is this modern Twin Cities Portrait photographers dream!)  I love it that my clients are creative. I also love that I get to follow most of these adorable little blessings – like Ms. R. through thier precious life. Little Ms. R. is part of my baby plan and these were her 9 month pictures.  Time flies when your having fun.

Anxiously awaiting..

This was one of those sessions where I struggled trying to decide which image to show on the blog. I LOVED them all…and how could I not. Not only was this the sweetest couple.. they were beautiful, photogenic and all around fun to be around.  This is the kind of photo session where I am so happy to be a photographer and capture moments like this.  (ok, every session I leave I have that feeling – it’s like a natural high!)   These amazing parents are expecting a beautiful baby girl, and with her mom’s model good looks (well, and dad’s too) she is going to be one beautiful, TALENTED (did I mention her dad’s a musican) and sweet little girl. We are anxiously awaiting your arrival baby H.  You have 2 amazing parents!
