I DO!…again

What an amazing month May was. 10 years ago I married the man of my dreams, and as they say…time flies when you are having fun! My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by renewing our wedding vows at the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia. It was the dreamiest 7 days and the 4th best day of my life (behind our *real* wedding and the birth of my 2 children.)

Both my husband and I were amazed how different the vows sounded 10 years later. Although they were the same, they were much more emotional. The “for better or worse, for sicker or poor” just had more meaning after you had lived a decade together. We encourage everyone to renew their vows and see for themselves the difference it is hearing them later in your marriage.

What a wonderful story! I am coming up on ten years, too and I have thought about how the whole thing would seem much more “real” if I were to do it again. Congratulations on 10 years and here’s to 40 more!!

Mark and I renewed our vows on our 10 year anniversary too and it was just like you explained…the vows are more meaningful after you’ve spent a decade together!
Looking forward to doing it again on our 20th! (in less than 2 years!)
