Maloree | Apple Valley High School Senior Portraits

I just love working with seniors! They have such amazing personalities and identities. Maloree was no exception to the rule. She has a style all her own that she just rocks, and a smile to go with it. She just had so much joy, and a wonderful laugh, and it made our senior session in downtown Minneapolis that much more fun. Thank you for such a wonderful session Maloree, you are such a beautiful, amazing, talented girl!

Brotherly Love | Urban Style Family Photography

Meet the Seys family! What a fun family to photograph. I had such a great time with these boys, they happen to be the same ages as my 2 children so we had a bunch to chat about. They were so good and I just loved the way they interacted with their dad, they clearly adore him. Thank you so much Scott for allowing me to photograph your family memories. I look forward to working with you again!

Williams Family | Lino Lakes Family Photographer

It is always a pleasure to work with a family that is excited about having family pictures. It seems like moms do not get into the pictures often enough (they are usually behind the camera). This session took place on one of these hot “fall” days we are having but the whole family were troopers. I have been very blessed to know the Williams, as they are friends and our children go to the same school. Aren’t they a great looking family. Thank you for the fun day, and Hailey, I may need to hire you to help out..you did such a good job working with me and your sisters!WilliamsBlog3

Photography Mentoring – Gabriel & Carin | Twin Cities Photography Mentor

I love love LOVE the opportunity to share my experiences with other photographers through mentoring. I have received countless e-mails asking various questions about how I do things, so Lisa Slotsve Mentoring was born!

Gabriel & Carin are amazing. They were in the Minneapolis/St. Paul on some other business and spent the day with me on a few senior shoots, then we went over business processes and forms among other items.  They are going to big, so watch for them on the blog.  I am so blessed to know the Blacks and felt honored that they would consider spending a day with me to learn more about the ins and outs of photography business.

Here is a little interview with Gabriel and Carin:

We we come from: My husband Gabriel is from Williston, ND and Carin is from Bredasdorp, South Africa.

Our work can be found at: www.gabrielandcarin.com

Most days we just need: More hours in the day!

Our style is: Photo journalistic

Our biggest accomplishment this week was: Getting my greencard so we can go visit my family in England and South Africa.

What I loved about my mentor session with Lisa: Lisa is AMAZING and super talented. She is absolutely a great teacher. She is fun and clearly loves what she does. We learned more from her in one day than what we could have learned in a year. We loved every second of our session with her.

In our camera bag is: The 5D mark ii. {Lenses} Canon 24-70mm L series, Canon 16-35mm L series, Canon 70-200mm L series, Canon extensions tube ef 12 ii, two Canon speedlight 580xii flashes.

Our recent favorite image is: We worked with a wonderful couple, Loren and Ashley and this shot of the groom flying away with a balloon and holding his brides hand was our fav!

BLOGgabrielandcarin

Our last family vacation was: A trip to Hawaii where we spent most days laying on the beach or jumping of a waterfall.

A site where we find inspiration (non photography): www.oncewed.com

In 5 years we see ourselves: Traveling the world, having a family and continuing in growing to be better at what we do.

Thank you again!  Good luck and keep in touch.

Jenna | Centennial High School Senior Photographer

I have known Jenna for a looong time (does that make me old?) I cannot believe how much she has grown up into this beautiful woman. Our first session was rained out but we managed to get a few fun images in before we had to pack up. The next day we tried again, and the light and weather were perfect (as was Jenna)! She found a wonderful location and we had a great time taking unique, senior pictures in a hidden location in Lino Lakes. Thank you Jenna for a great session!

We meet again Amelia | Minnetonka Baby Photographer

Ahhh no greater joy then watching “my babies” (those I have photographed from newborn stage) grow up. I can not believe what can happen in 8 months time. Chubbier cheeks and thighs, giggles and laughs. I love this age. It is pure joy and fun. We had a great time capturing her inside and on the shores of her home. These portraits are extra special because Amelia loves her beach and sand outside their Minnetonka home, and they will be moving to a new home soon, so we were able to keep those memories on film FOREVER.
