Where have I been?
Thank you for those of you who have been wondering where I have been, besides 4 states in two months, I have been photographing beautiful children like little E. above. It has been a lot busier than Feb and March usually are so I am a bit behind on my blogging of sessions. Remember that New Years Resolution…well, didn’t quite make it this year.
Thank you to those families who I haven’t had a chance to do thier sneek peek. I have made it up to you I hope! I will most likely move to a format where I may be showing more than one child in a post at a time. But right now it is all about beautiful little E. She is the gorgous little girl on my blog all wrapped in the soft hat in a basket as a newborn. I was lucky enough to do their newborn photos at their home in Wayzata and now her 3 year photos at my studio. I can not believe what a difference 3 months make. This session was truly a blast. We got some great modern photos, with a bright contemporary spin at the downtown Minneapolis photography studio. This is one of my favorite families and I am both sad and excited about thier new venture to San Fransisco. I am excited for them, and also excited for my other clients that are out there..as I will be traveling again this year to do San Fransico sessions (and now I get to add E. and her older brother O. to my travel schedule). If you know of any one else interested in the California session, please have them contact me to get on the list as sessions fill fast. They will be announced on the blog this summer.
Good luck on your move D. Family and I just know you are going to love the rest of them! Thank you for an amazing session baby E.

Fresh.Fun.Beautiful.
I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph another fresh newborn this past week. Meet beautiful little N. I have said it before, but newborn photography is such an amazing, wonderful art. This little beauty will grow up so quickly within that first couple of years to become a wonderful, articulate child like her older brother O.
I am so excited to come back in a few months and see how much little, beautiful N. has grown. She certainly was a blessing and very welcomed addition to this wonderful family. Thank you L. family for sharing your little bundle of joy with me and letting me capture forever, the first few days of her amazing life!

What happens in Vegas…
..Is coming back to Minneapolis and being passed onto my amazing clients! This is not going to be a case of what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. I believe in continuous learning and education and am looking forward to learning new ideas, techniques and looking for new products to pass onto my amazing clients. WPPI is one of the largest tradeshows and workshops in the US and I am so excited to network with some of the most amazing children and family photographers in the United States and browse the trade show floor for the latest trendy great products to bring back to the studio.
PLEASE NOTE: Lisa Slotsve Photography will be closed until Monday March 24th. Due to the schedule of this event and time demands, we will have very limited email and phone access, however, we will return your call as soon as possible. Have a wonderful week and enjoy your Easter!

bebe’ beautiful
I can not believe little S. is already 6 months old! You may remember her beautiful mother from the blog. She was the colorful maternity images with the cowboy hat. You can see her on the website at www.lisaslotsvephotography.com in the maternity section. This is their beautiful creation. Every time I photograph this little one I think, there is no way she can get cuter then this…well, then her next session comes along…and she does! Wouldn’t you agree?

Senior Sneak Peek..
I announced my senior website yesterday on the blog, so now how about a sneak peek at some of my 2008/2009 senior model representatives. Meet K. & S! They are my Mahtomedi high school class of 09 reps and I could not have gotten luckier. They are involved in outside activities, incredibly outgoing, wonderful role models and all around just a blast! (not to mention gorgeous). AND..on top of that..they are a continuation on my twins theme for the last 2 months of 2008! I am not counting, but I think that is my 6th set in two months! I am loving expanding my Minneapolis children’s photography business into high school senior photography. It is only natural, after all, those of you who know me know that color & fashion have always been infused throughout my photography.
Here is a sneak peek for K. & S. Hope your having fun on Spring Break and I can’t wait to share the rest with you. Thank you (and Mom) for a wonderful afternoon!

Gorgeous Mom-to-Be
There must be something in the air right now. I have been photographing these unbelievable beautiful moms - to - be lately. I love maternity photography and of course I always think pregnant women are beautiful, it is something about carrying a life around inside of you, but lately, well..have a peek yourself.
I show up for my session with this wonderful couple (who are going to be AMAZING parents) and she was still in her PRE PREGNANCY jeans! I am going to be honest here, I probably can’t even fit into my jeans from 9 months ago - and I’m not pregnant (hey, it’s been a long winter! ha) and here J. is, having a baby in a few weeks!
The H. Family will be blessed with a new addtion soon, soon will be welcoming baby H. Stay tuned for newborn portraits of this wonderful families new addition!

The Today Show - today…
I am a big believer in giving back. Those of you who know me either personally or professionally know that I love to serve and volunteer with my photography. I believe photography has been such a gift, and I love to use it to give back. One of the organizations close to my heart is
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, of which I am an affiliate photographer. NILMDTS is a non profit organization that offers sensitive bereavement photography for families facing the loss of a newborn or baby. This morning, The Today Show did a segmant focused on NILMDTS and it happened to feature one of our Local Minneapolis families and photographers. It is amazing and wonderful to see that the organization is getting such national coverage.
You may remember me blogging about a Minneapolis Star Tribune article last fall on Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep in which I was interviewed regarding the organization. If you are interested in viewing the Today’s Show episode from today, you can find the link below.
The families that I have blessed to work with all are very dear to my heart and I feel so honored to be asked to capture and document their important day with their child. If you know of anyone who may be facing the loss of a newborn child, please have them visit www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org
